Peyton's Birth Story | Part One | C-Section Awareness Month

I feel like this is something very long overdue... I started writing this story just after having our little girl as she was cuddled on my chest so petite and brand new. I now finish writing this story as she sits in our living room with hair just long enough to fit into two small little pigtails, playing with her big legos and toys, her baby features just about stretched and grown out of. (I'm holding onto the few little chunks and rolls left.) It's bee almost a yer and a half since we had our little peanut and it's so crazy to think back to our time in the hospital. We talk about how it seems like forever ago, and yet it all happened so fast in our minds.

I don’t write this because it all went perfect, or necessarily went as planned… but in the end we wound up with a beautiful and healthy baby girl. I am blessed to have the experience I did and that I get to share this, because every birth experience is different and beautiful. I know that no matter how a little one joins your family, it is beautiful and special to each family. I want to document that here and share with others who may have experienced something similar or completely different. No matter what happens, the experience of bringing a new life to this world or into your family is something that is beautiful, and will change your life forever no matter the path you take to get there… enough of me rambling, here's the story of how our little girl joined our family.

Easter Baskets for Our Little Bunnies

With Easter a week away I've been getting things together for little miss Peyton's Easter basket. With how the past couple of weeks have been with COVID-19 I know others along with myself have been trying to figure out how to adjust, and how to approach the upcoming holiday.

I still have few little items to snag, but I am here to share what I have gathered so far! I am so excited to share Easter with Peyton this year, she truly is at such a fun age right now! Even though Easter this yer may be a little different than usual, it's still about so much more than the Easter baskets and eggs and the Easter Bunny! We can still celebrate The Good News that "HE IS RISEN!" and share what this holiday is truly about. That's what I intend to do with my daughter, along with all the other fun things like Easter egg hunts (even if its small and in our backyard) and dying eggs, watch Easter movies, eating Easter Brunch and treats, and enjoying every second of this bright and happy Holiday!

Crockpot White Chicken Chili

I definitely have a love for Slow Cooker meals. I mean, who doesn't!?

For ONE, they're easy! (and boy can I use easy.) And TWO, life is way too busy.

I have definitely been keeping the Slow Cooker on hand these past couple of weeks, with being at home and truly wanting meals to be an ease, this has been the way to go.

It's still hasn't been the warmest weather here in Wisconsin and with being at home I was really looking for something warm and cozy to eat.
 This definitely hit the spot!

It's the perfect easy meal for us adults and it was even perfect for my toddler. WIN!
I seriously love that this is a meal I can make in all seasons and not just in that classic fall soup season. It's a favorite year round!

Spring Mini Styles | Toddler Girls

I love S P R I N G time and everything that comes in this season, the colors, the flowers start blooming, animals awaken, it’s a season of new beginnings, baseball returns, I could go on and on…
The earth seems to come back to life, which seems even more amazing after long Wisconsin winters.

I always look forward to spring coming around every year, so when the spring and Easter inspired outfits and dresses are put on display and thrown online I can’t help but be drawn to it all!
And in light of everything going on in the world around us concerning the COVID-19 virus, I think I’m looking forward to spring and all the bright and beautiful colors even more! Plus, I have a lot more time on my hands, and since I don’t plan on going out shopping for clothes with little miss Peyton anytime soon, I couldn’t help but put some of my favorites together to share!

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I really wanted to do something fun as a family to celebrate. I wanted something we could all have a blast doing together, was easy to do, and didn’t break the bank.

Why not bake some cookies!?
With this recipe being only 6 ingredients it was a no brainer!

This recipe is such an easy one to make your own, not take up too much time (which is definitely important when dealing with the attention span of little ones), makes your kids excited for the upcoming holiday, and tastes delicious!

A Day at the Domes | A Taste of Spring

It finally feels like spring could actually be here! We have been so blessed here in Wisconsin with some pretty great weather. (I mean anything above 20 degrees here is great in my book, so this 50 and 60 degree weather has been so exciting!)

We made a decision at the beginning of the year to really be intentional with our time and really make the most of our days. We have been planning and throwing stuff on our schedule and into our Spring and Summer Bucket Lists like crazy...
One of those things was filling our Sundays (when both get the chance to be off work together) with more outings and family time. Truly making the most of our year and having more experiences together.
